A trawl around the Twestival city sites

I’ve just had a quick surf around the Twestival city sites - here’s some of my personal highlights:
- Philadelphia are having a Rock Band Tournament at their local event (although I’m not quite sure what a Rock Band Tournament is!)
- San Francisco are running a competition to select a design for a local event t-shirt (I’ve put my name down for one - XL size - hint, hint!)
- Brisbane have The Strange Attractors playing at their local event.
- Bristol is holding their local event in a bowling alley!
- Cornwall have got their own logo.
- Dublin are holding their event at the Sycamore Club - looks like a great venue!
- Vienna have got their own logo.

Well when I first opened my mouth I really thought the people of New Orleans would come together. You see I am not a local and maybe I am the wrong person to head this. I have posted several posts on the site asking for help, ideas, suggestions. Needless to say I have had 2 responses. You see I have lived for the past 20 years in a great city SF. Maybe I was expecting the same type of enthusiasm for anything that has to do with technology and help. I was wrong.
Anyone with suggestions on how to get these Southerners to step it up? I have twitted, I have emailed and I am willing to make calls. Any direction from you wonderful people out there would be appreciated.
